Continuous Engagement Support
The PACE Framework puts a spotlight on designing district-based practices for opportunity and achievement in computer science education. To that end, PACE Continuous Engagement Support weaves together monthly meetings and summer Summits to bring together the various computer science/technology and research change agents and participating districts to focus on ensuring that they recognize and address engaging pedagogies, and encourage and support students to explore, choose, plan, and complete computer science pathways as part of their educational journeys. Targeted activities focus on working with:
- DSC Chairs and District Administrators to change system structures to embrace CS/technology access, and promote both student and educator development.
- Teachers to deepen their knowledge and skills toward more engaging teaching practices within their classroom and build their capacity to motivate rural students from all backgrounds in CS education.
- School counselors on strategies for engaging ALL students in CS.
